I know there’s services like Automatch which will connect customers with cars they want, but the cars are at dealerships.

Beepi ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ) is one of a new breed of Internet car buying services in that they are basically a dealer themselves, but with no brick-and-mortar dealership. They buy cars from private individuals for about $1000 more than dealership trade-in price, and then resell them for about $1000 less than dealership retail price. Between buying and selling, they give the car a 185 point inspection with on-staff vehicle inspectors. When you buy a car from them, they deliver it for free. Beepi’s currently only licensed and working in California, and they only deal with cars from 2008-present.

Still, this is a huge shift in the way people buy cars. I hope something like this catches on nationwide.
